You have until 31 October (end of day) to enter up to 3 GIFs. To enter GIF IT UP, you need to make a GIF with material found from one of these sources:
- Europeana.eu
- DPLA
- Digital NZ
- Trove
- Japan Search
- DAG Museums
- Art Institute of Chicago
- Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec
- Centro de Fotografía de Montevideo
- Digital Library of Latvia
Your source material must be clearly marked as: in the public domain, has a ‘no known copyright restrictions’ statement or has a Creative Commons statement which allows reuse (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA).
Disclaimer on the use of AI
GIF IT UP values human creativity and the learning that takes place through making. Participants may experiment with AI tools where these support their creative process, but AI must not replace their own ideas, judgment and creative contribution. Entries created entirely or predominantly using generative AI are not eligible. Any use of generative AI must be declared, including the tools used and how they contributed to the final work. Undisclosed or solely AI-generated entries may be disqualified.
