Entries that do not contain an item from these sources will not be considered.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>A maximum of 3 GIFs may be entered.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GIF submissions must be no larger than 2MB.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Each entry must contain the URL(s) to the source material<\/strong> (e.g. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/item\/90402\/SK_A_3089\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/item\/90402\/SK_A_3089<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">); entries submitted without a URL will not be considered.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>All source material used in GIFs must be available for free reuse<\/strong>, i.e. the item is in the public domain, has no known copyright, or is openly licensed. Content restricted to non-commercial use or \u2018no derivatives\u2019 is not eligible for use in this contest.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To retrieve copyright free material on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/numerique.banq.qc.ca\/rechercheExterne\/encoded\/Kg==\/false\/D_D\/desc\/W3sibm9tIjoiY29ycHVzIiwidmFsZXVyIjoiUGF0cmltb2luZSUyMHF1w6liw6ljb2lzIn0seyJub20iOiJjb25kaXRpb25fdXRpbGlzYXRpb24iLCJ2YWxldXIiOiI3In0seyJub20iOiJ0eXBlX2RvY19mIiwidmFsZXVyIjoiSW1hZ2VzIn1d\/Toutes%20les%20ressources\/true\/false\/eyJkZWJ1dCI6MTUwNCwiZmluIjoxOTQ5fQ==\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BAnQ numerique<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, on a result page, check the box \u201cDomaine public in Canada\u201d (public domain in Canada) and define dates to limit the search. Make sure the date chosen is before 1949. Entries containing Creative Commons-licensed content will also be assigned a CC BY 4.0 licence unless the source has an SA component to the licence, in which case the same licence will be applied.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entries will be judged by an external jury and their decision is final; no correspondence will be entered into.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The organisers reserve the right to disqualify works that breach intellectual property rights, contain language or imagery that is offensive or obscene, or material that is confidential or invasive of personal privacy, or infringes the rights of any other person.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In uploading your entry you give permission for Europeana, its contest partners and the jury to post your work to the GIF IT UP website, GIPHY.com and to promote your entry via other online platforms, for promotional and editorial purposes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Please be aware of those with impaired vision when making your GIF<\/strong>.
